Humane Educational Society Opens New Low-Cost Spay and Neuter Clinic

Chattanooga, TN (WDEF) The Humane Educational Society has officially opened a new low-cost spay and neuter clinic, a project leaders say has been years in the making.

“This is something we’ve wanted to do for a long time,” said Interim Executive Director Dr. Tai Federico. “The spay clinic is an opportunity for us to help members of the community that may not be able to afford veterinary services at full price to get their animals spayed or neutered, which we’re hoping will cut down on the number of unwanted litters in the future.”

The clinic is open to all pet owners, regardless of where they live, and offers procedures at a fraction of the normal cost. Federico says it’s part of a broader mission to improve animal welfare while also supporting pet owners…
