Dade County Receives Proposals for Elections Building Project

TRENTON, Ga. The Dade County Board of Commissioners received seven official proposals for the construction of a new elections building following the advertised opening at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 7, 2025. Chairman Don Townsend announced the opening during the August Commission meeting.

Prior to the bid opening, a pre-bid meeting was held in which eleven companies participated and were pre-qualified to submit proposals for the project.

Of the seven proposals received, one was deemed incomplete and disqualified, leaving six qualified proposals now under review. The current bids range from $2.9 million to $3.4 million. Of these, five companies are based in Chattanooga, one is from Dade County, and another is from Canton, Georgia…
