Chattanooga, TN – The Chattanooga Police Department issued a community alert after responding to reports of possible drink spiking incidents over the weekend.
According to police, drugs used in such cases are often colorless, odorless, and tasteless, making them difficult to detect. Within minutes, they can cause disorientation, confusion, unconsciousness, blackouts, and other effects that leave victims vulnerable.
CPD urged residents to take precautions, including not accepting drinks from strangers, keeping drinks in sight at all times, covering drinks when not actively drinking, and seeking help immediately if feeling dizzy, nauseous, light-headed, or otherwise unwell.
