CLEVELAND, Tenn. — Cleveland High School’s starting quarterback, Kason McGowan has a special source of motivation.
He looks up to his mother, Amy, every single day.
“You know, as a person, as a mother, as a coach, just as a human in general,” he said.
Amy McGowan, a stellar athlete herself, began playing basketball at the age of 5 at a community center in Cleveland. She became a legend during her college basketball career at Clemson and went on to play professionally overseas. Now, she is back in Cleveland as the head volleyball coach.
