Chattanooga’s Browns Ferry Tavern to become a cultural hub with potential state money

HAMILTON COUNTY, Tenn. — A site that’s the oldest standing structure in Hamilton County could soon see new developments that connect past and present for generations to come.

The Browns Ferry Tavern, just to the west of Moccasin Bend in Chattanooga, holds ties to both the Civil War and the Trail of Tears.

It’s now in line to get potential funding from the state of Tennessee’s War Commission Fund…
