CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. — To break generational cycles, you have to start at the root.

That’s the strategy for a Chattanooga nonprofit working to reconnect the maternal bond between a mother struggling with addiction and her child.

For many of the women the Foundation House Ministries serve, that means getting clean from drugs and stepping into a healthier, more stable lifestyle.
