Chattanooga, TN – The Chattanooga Fire Department and Chattanooga Police Department expressed their gratitude this week to residents, city leaders, and local officials for their support during the city’s ongoing budget process.
The Fire Department, joined by the Chattanooga Fire Fighters Association, Local 820, thanked taxpayers, Mayor Tim Kelly and his staff, as well as the Chattanooga City Council for their work in making difficult decisions related to the budget amendment. Officials said they appreciated the community’s continued backing and recognized the collaborative efforts of everyone involved.
The Chattanooga Police Department also acknowledged the support of the Mayor and City Council, noting that the budget amendment will make the department more competitive in recruiting and retaining officers.
