Dunlap emergency crews extract passenger from accident

DUNLAP, Tenn. — Early Saturday morning, Dunlap Fire dispatched to a single vehicle crash on Highway 127 near Rabbit Farm Road.

The car veered off the highway into an embankment 35 feet below the road.

One person was able to remove himself from the vehicle, and climb the embankment to alert passersby.

Firefighters successfully stabilized the vehicle, before using ‘the jaws of life’ to extract the second passenger.

They also utilized a low angle rope system to pull them up the embankment…
