DUNLAP, Tenn. — First responders in Dunlap rescued a man who was injured after crashing his paraglider into the side of a rockface Thursday.
The Dunlap Fire Department was dispatched at 5:17 p.m. to a call about a man who was involved in a paragliding accident on Lewis Chapel Mountain off Window Rock Road.
The man was approximately 40 feet over the side of the mountain with a possible broken ankle, according to fire officials.
Piney VFD was requested as mutual aid. Volunteer firefighters set up a haul system and the man was placed in a basket.
