Air traffic control briefly moved after Chattanooga airport tower suffers storm damage

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. — Recent storms have caused water damage to the roof of the air traffic control tower at Chattanooga Airport.

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) tells us that during maintenance, two ceiling panels fell, though no one was hurt.

Despite the damage, equipment remains operational, and crews are actively working on cleanup and remediation efforts.

As a precaution, operations have been temporarily relocated to the TRACON facility, which is situated in another part of the airport building.

Right now, the FAA says there is no estimated time frame for when repairs will be completed…
