Dunlap police stress ‘Run, Hide, Fight’ for active shooter safety

DUNLAP, Tenn. — In the wake of a false alarm at UTC, nearby communities, including Dunlap, are emphasizing the importance of understanding and responding to active shooter situations.

Dunlap Police Chief Randy Philips highlighted the critical nature of the “Run, Hide, Fight” protocol, stating, “The average duration is five to 10 minutes. How long will it take for the police to get there? About the same time.”
