Chattanooga receives thousands of dollars in grants to enhance city parks

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. — Thousands of dollars worth of grants will soon go towards improvements at two Chattanooga parks, officials say.

According to a release from the city of Chattanooga, a $500,000 BRAG grant will go to the Chattanooga Skate Park and a $30,000 Norfolk Southern grant will go towards enhancing DuPont Park this spring.

According to a spokesperson for the city, the BRAG grant will be used to pay for site prep and soil work at the Chattanooga Skate Park in preparation for a new multi-modal park and skatepark…
