Catoosa County student faces school and legal consequences for contraband, district says

CATOOSA COUNTY, Ga. — A student at Heritage High School faces charges after authorities say he brought contraband items to school on Monday.

After getting a tip about possible student misconduct, a Heritage High School administrator and a School Resource Officer quickly followed safety protocol, according to a release from Catoosa County Public Schools.

The release says the resource officer searched the student’s car, which was parked on school property, and found a vape and a weapon that was not a firearm. But the district says no weapons ever entered the school…
