HAMILTON COUNTY, Tenn. — Starting next week, low-flying planes and helicopters will drop oral rabies vaccine baits across several local counties — part of a USDA Wildlife Services program to prevent the spread of rabies in wild animals like raccoons, skunks, and coyotes.
The drops will take place from October 14th through October 30th in Hamilton, Bradley, Marion, McMinn, Meigs, Polk and Monroe counties.
