High rise fire: 7 at Mary Walker Towers in Chattanooga displaced Saturday, no one hurt

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. — Seven people are now looking for a new place to stay after a high-rise fire at the Mary Walker Towers in downtown Chattanooga early Saturday morning. No one was hurt.

The 2-alarm fire broke out just after midnight on Saturday, according to a release from the Chattanooga Fire Department.

Firefighters found smoke on the second floor and fire in one of the apartments. They put the fire out quickly, then helped everyone on the second floor to safety as they worked to air out the building…
