CLEVELAND, Tenn. – Christian Hatley headed home a long throw-in in the 70th minute to give the Lander men’s soccer team a 1-0 win over Lee in its non-conference finale on Saturday evening at the Ray Conn Sports Complex.
After a scoreless first half that saw the Bearcats outshoot the Flames 5-1, Lander finally broke through as the clock ticked into the 70th minute. A long throw from Charlie Bell bounced off a couple of players before finding Hatley, who deposited his team-leading fifth goal of the season into the back of the net.
Just a few minutes later, Conrad Knight came up with a key save to preserve the Lander lead. The freshman keeper’s lone stop in his eighth start of the season secured his third win…
