Chattanooga, TN – A woman wanted by authorities for allegedly assaulting her ex-boyfriend, who is wheelchair-bound, has been arrested. Taneshia Gearing, 29, was taken into custody on Friday by the Chattanooga Police Department after a warrant was issued for her arrest on charges of domestic assault and vandalism. She has since posted bond and was released from jail. The charges stem from an incident that occurred in June 2024.
Alleged Attack on Wheelchair-Bound Man
According to an arrest affidavit, the incident began on June 25, 2024, when Gearing broke into the home of her ex-boyfriend by kicking through a locked door. The man, who remains unnamed, told police that Gearing immediately began to shout at him before ransacking his apartment……
