CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. — The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga says they plan to raze Engel Stadium to the ground and build a women’s athletic complex in its place.
But many community members are pushing back on those plans because of the stadium’s rich history.
The stadium was opened in 1930 as the original home for the Chattanooga Lookouts.
But over the years, the historic venue has fallen into disrepair…
