Turning Point USA is preparing for its first official meeting at UTC on Wednesday, Oct. 22 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. in Derthick Hall room 101. The group’s leaders say their goal is simple: to create space for dialogue.
“We want to be open to free dialogue and free speech and having the other side come up to us and debate us,” said freshman Maddie Pickel, the secretary of the new chapter. “If you can’t hear each other out and have compromise, that’s when our country fails.”
