The Royal springsnail and the Sequatchie caddisfly are two of those small, amazing animals that can be missed by most people. But these rare creatures are only found one place in the world – the Sequatchie Cave State Natural Area. This summer Division of State Natural Area’s staff joined experts from the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Serve and the University of Tennessee for a survey of the cave streams in Marion County.
The Sequatchie Cave SNA is 133 acres and is open to the public.
