‘NOT what we stand for:’ Chattanooga bar addresses police raid, drink spiking concerns

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. — A bar in Chattanooga says it’s taking new steps to protect customers after a police raid last week led to the arrest of two customers and a kitchen staff member.

The raid, which took place at Shady’s Corner on Cemetery Avenue in Chattanooga last Thursday, was part of an undercover operation in which Chattanooga police say the three men were caught attempting illegal activity inside the bar.

The bar now says the kitchen staff member and the two patrons have been permanently banned from the establishment…
