GAME WEEK: Homecoming Takes Center Stage

First Look

It’s Homecoming Week for the Chattanooga Mocs. Saturday’s matchup with Western Carolina is the first of back-to-back weeks in Finley Stadium as the stretch run begins. The Mocs enter the week 4-4 overall, 3-1 over the first half of the Southern Conference slate.

Breakdown

  • The Mocs are third in SoCon standings with Nos. 1, 2 & 4 all coming up in the next three weeks. The Catamounts are second, a half-game behind Mercer in first and a game clear of the Mocs.
  • The home finale comes against fourth-place Furman a week from Saturday followed by a trip to Macon to face the Bears. The regular season finale is Nov. 22 at Wofford.
  • WR/PR AJ Little’s 47-yard punt return for a touchdown in the second quarter at Samford Saturday was his second of the season. He’s just the third Moc with multiple returns for TD in a season joining Jerry Ellison (3 KO in 1992) and Tommy Hudson (2 PR in 2014).
  • Chattanooga’s defense will have its hands full this week with a dangerous Catamounts attack. The defensive front is trending the right way coming off five sacks at Samford.
