CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. — If your home lies in the northwestern part of Chattanooga’s District1 — including neighborhoods along the riverfront and the northwest corridor — city officials want you to make sure your property meets code standards before next week.
The Land Development Office of Public Works will send its full inspection team to the district next week for a two-day code compliance blitz aimed at improving neighborhood safety and livability.
Inspectors will examine as many addresses as possible during the operation, looking for violations related to litter, overgrowth, inoperable vehicles on private property, and structure issues.
Property owners with violations will have Notices of Violation placed on their property and two weeks to correct the problems, officials said.
