Whataburger has been in expansion mode in multiple states, including Tennessee. East Tennessee is receiving several locations in the coming months. Knoxville-based franchise company MWB Restaurants is spearheading much of the growth in the region for the burger chain, including spots in Powell and Turkey Creek.
They also have a new location on the way to the Chattanooga area heading to 6521 Ringgold Road in East Ridge.
Plans for the site were first approved by the City of East Ridge in February of this past year and construction has been ongoing, with plans for the spot to open by the end of the year, according to an announcement from the city…
