Remote Area Medical serves 1 millionth patient in Cleveland

CLEVELAND, Tenn. (WATE) — Remote Area Medical served their 1 millionth patient at a clinic in Bradley County over the weekend, a spokesperson said.

The weekend clinic offered free dental, vision and medical services. Their 1 millionth patient was Regina, who hadn’t had a proper eye exam in more than four years, RAM said. The clinic gave her a new prescription and a new pair of glasses.

RAM is known for its free mobile clinics serving the uninsured. Its headquarters is in Rockford in Blount County. 6 News’s Don Dare covered their “life-changing” work dental at a recent clinic.
