On November 11, 2025, four restaurants in Chattanooga, Tennessee, were included in the first MICHELIN Guide American South. The announcement took place in Greenville, South Carolina. This is the first regional edition of the guide for the American South. The guide covers Alabama, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Atlanta. It features 228 restaurants in total.
Little Coyote received the Bib Gourmand distinction. This award recognizes restaurants that offer quality food at moderate prices. The Bib Gourmand allows diners to have two courses and a glass of wine or dessert for about $50 before tax and tip. Little Coyote is located at 3950 Tennessee Ave. It is owned by Erik and Amanda Niel, who also own two other recognized restaurants in Chattanooga.
