Chattanooga is turning to an unlikely source in the city’s ongoing effort to expand affordable housing: houses of worship.
The city, in partnership with the Maclellan Foundation, the Community Foundation of Greater Chattanooga, and the Generosity Trust, announced Monday the launch of Enterprise Community Partners’ Faith-Based Development Initiative. The program will help congregations transform underused land into affordable homes and other community assets.
