CHATTANOOGA, Tenn — The man deputies say doused a woman with gasoline and set her on fire in Soddy-Daisy has now been ordered to undergo a forensic evaluation.
In court Monday, a Hamilton County judge directed that Christopher Medula be evaluated by a mental-health professional.
A forensic evaluation helps the court answer legal questions, including whether a defendant is competent to stand trial or understands the nature of the charges.
