Quake Rattles Tennessee Near Chattanooga Not Far from Saturday’s Earthquake

According to USGS, a weak earthquake rattled portions of eastern Tennessee last night just west of Chattanooga and not far from the epicenter of another earthquake that struck northwestern Georgia yesterday morning. The magnitude 2.4 earthquake struck just outside of Tracy City from a depth of 9.7 km at 11:28 pm last night. Yesterday’s earthquake struck about 50 miles southeast near LaFayette, Georgia; it had the same magnitude as this Tennessee quake.
