CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. — Attorneys for a Chattanooga man convicted of killing a man on Market Street at point blank range filed a motion for a new trial.
That motion was overruled, according to Judge Boyd Patterson.
Last April, a jury convicted Darryl Roberts for the September 2023 murder of Christopher Wright. The incident was caught on surveillance cameras.
During Roberts trial, the defense showed the last hours of Chris Wright’s life in a Chattanooga bar, where they asked a bartender if he was being aggressive and flirtatious to an unnamed woman who came in with him and a classmate from Baylor’s reunion…
