Tennessee gives these Chattanooga Police officers honors in fight against drunk driving

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn — On the eve of one of the heaviest drinking nights of the year, Chattanooga Police say three of their own got statewide honors for keeping impaired drivers off the road.

The recognition comes just as people head into a four day Thanksgiving weekend. Mothers Against Drunk Driving says Thanksgiving Eve, often called Blackout Wednesday, is one of the deadliest nights on the road because alcohol use spikes nationwide.

Chattanooga Master Patrol Officer Jennifer Lockhart made 107 DUI arrests this year, the most in Tennessee.
