CLEVELAND, Tenn. — The Cleveland Police Department is mourning the loss of a retired K9 who served on the force for 8 years.
The department announced on Monday that retired K9 Alana passed away.
K9 Alana served the Cleveland Police Department from 2016-2024.
“She was always a bright light and wagging tail when she came by. She truly enjoyed her job of helping to keep their citizens and visitors of Cleveland safe while also being a familiar face in the Community Relations Unit. She always enjoyed conducting public demonstrations at many of our schools and visiting children in the area.”
