CHATTANOOGA, Tenn — A Chattanooga man faces charges after authorities say he led deputies on a chase that ended in a crash on Lee Highway.
Deputies tried a traffic stop near the 7700 block of Lee Highway around 3 a.m. Wednesday, according to a release from the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office.
While the deputy returned to the patrol vehicle to check identification, the passenger exited and the driver fled, prompting a pursuit.
Deputies used a PIT maneuver to slow the suspect vehicle before it ultimately collided with a Chrysler van.
The driver, later identified as Seth Livingston, ran away from the scene but was caught after a brief chase.
Livingston was taken to a local hospital for medical evaluation before he was sent to the Hamilton County Jail and Detention Center…
