Chattanooga hospital helps women feel more like themselves during cancer treatment

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. — Women going through cancer treatment in Chattanooga now have a new place to find comfort, confidence and community.

Erlanger Hospital is partnering with the Look Good, Feel Better Alliance to offer a free monthly workshop designed to help women manage the appearance-related side effects of cancer treatment.

Hospital leaders say the two-hour class is led by a certified volunteer beauty professional who walks participants through skincare, nail care and makeup techniques. They also spend time on wigs, scarves, turbans and hats — how to choose them, how to care for them and how to make them feel natural…
