FORT BENNING, Ga. (WTVM) – Many new soldiers on Fort Benning were not able to be home with their loved ones for Thanksgiving, but they still got a special holiday feast with their Army family.
Continuing the long Army tradition in dining halls on post, Fort Benning served traditional Thanksgiving meals – 13,000 of them – mostly to soldiers, like 18-year-old tanker Private 1st Class Jesse Knight, a self-proclaimed “momma’s boy” from Oregon.
