Sequatchie Valley Now has learned that authorities are investigating after human remains were discovered in a remote area of Marion County.
The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation says agents were called by Marion County law enforcement on Tuesday morning to a wooded location off Sequatchie Mountain Road, just outside the community of Sequatchie.
Investigators have not yet identified the victim, released the condition of the remains, or said whether anyone had been reported missing. The TBI also hasn’t indicated if foul play is suspected as the investigation continues…
