CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. — One person is dead after a crashed car went up in flames on the side of I-24 in Chattanooga early Sunday morning.
A release from the CHattanooga police department says officers were sent to a single car crash and fire near exit 181 on I-24 Eastbound just after 3:30 a.m. on Sunday. It says CPD Traffic and DUI units joined the officers to investigate the scene.
Investigators found that the car went off the road and hit a guardrail to the right. The car then spun, hit a tree, and was stopped by a fence. The release says the car went up in flames with the driver trapped inside…
