Lack of guardrails raise safety concerns after 2 cars plunge off of Signal, Sand Mountain

SIGNAL MOUNTAIN, Tenn. — Two drivers–one in Signal Mountain and the other in Trenton–in less than a week experienced frightening moments when their cars fell down the side of a mountain.

Tuesday we’re looking more into a missing safety feature that may have played a part.

Last Wednesday first responders rescued a man whose car fell 80 feet down the side of Sand Mountain near Trenton.

Just a few days later on Sunday another car fell 300 feet off the side of Signal Mountain…
