The Chattanooga Mocs competed in the Kent State Open on Saturday in the Memorial Stadium and Convocation Center on the KSU campus. Seven Mocs wrestling attached today earned spots in placing matches with Landon Jones providing the highlight.
Jones, the two seed, carved his way through the 184 bracket to reach the finals. He earned the championship with a 5-3 decision. Jones got a takedown at 1:58 of the first period and then escaped after a reversal to take a 4-2 advantage in the second.
