CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. — For many families across the Chattanooga area, Christmas Eve brings more than anticipation — it brings hope.
Volunteers with the Forgotten Child Fund are once again delivering that hope through their annual Santa Train, a holiday tradition that brings Christmas gifts to some of the most vulnerable families in the community. With the help of volunteers, donors, and public safety partners, the Santa Train delivers toys and essentials to families who might otherwise go without.
Christmas Eve is one of the most meaningful nights of the year for the group, as volunteers and law enforcement officers work side by side to deliver gifts and spread holiday cheer across the area.
For parents like Antonio Sims, the support means far more than just presents.
“It means the world,” Sims said. “Just knowing there are people out there who still have a heart and care around this time of year helps out a lot.”…
