City Looks to Expand Composting and Glass Recycling to all Chattanoogans

The City of Chattanooga, TN is looking to expand its glass recycling and composting program. The program began its trial phase on October 1st, 2025, initially focused on serving the Belvoir and Brainerd Neighborhood areas. Due to positive community feedback, they have expanded the trial program to three additional neighborhoods. Those include Missionary Ridge, Ridgedale, and Highland Park.

“We have had really great interaction with the public and have heard from feedback that there wanted to be expansion for this time, and so we selected sort of this contiguous area, trying to keep it grouped together,” said Madison Rollings, Director of Sustainability for the City of Chattanooga…
