The mother of a 2-year-old child who suffered a gunshot wound to the head on Christmas morning in Walker County has been arrested on unrelated charges, according to Sheriff Steve Wilson.
Candice Nicole McClain, 32, of Chickamauga, was taken into custody Tuesday evening by the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office in Tennessee on warrants issued by Walker County. The warrants charge McClain with two counts of unlawful conduct on a 911 call, both misdemeanors.
According to an affidavit, the charges stem from multiple incidents on Dec. 23 and Dec. 24, during which McClain allegedly made repeated calls to 911 in a manner described as harassing.
