‘Too many meetings:’ Hamilton County neighbors demand zoning changes

HAMILTON COUNTY, Tenn. — Residents in Hamilton County are calling for limitations on subdivision applications and zoning changes, particularly after plans have been denied or deferred.

Those concerns stem from two ongoing rezoning plans in the county: a subdivision application along Eldridge Road and rezoning attempts for development on Snow Hill Road.

Kim Helton, a local resident, expressed her frustration with the current process.

“When you have a plat that’s denied or deferred, that means residents have to come back again,” she said. “You need to have time limits that you need to have the amount of deferrals that can be, you know, set because you’re just wasting people’s time.”
