Identity Sought for Man Wanted for Steak Shoplifting

DALTON, Ga. — The Dalton Police Department is asking for the public’s help to identify a man who shoplifted more than $100 in steaks from a local Walmart.

On Monday, January 5th at the Walmart on Shugart Road, the suspect swapped out the barcodes on the items, and then used a self-checkout station to pay for the items at a steep discount, according to the City of Dalton.

They say the man picked out five steaks, 3 ribeye steaks valued at $19.97 each and 2 thin ribeye steaks valued at $23.47 each…
