Man charged with pulling a knife on his girlfriend and kids in Chattanooga on Sunday

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. — A man is facing charges after he threatened his girlfriend and her kids with a knife, leading them to fear for their lives in Chattanooga early Sunday morning.

That affidavit says dispatch got a call around 5 a.m. from a woman who said her boyfriend, Titon Smith, had pulled a knife on her and her kids, and she was scared he would kill them. Dispatch told her to lock herself and her kids in a bedroom, and stay on the phone until deputies could arrive.

Deputies arrived to the house on West Freedom Circle, and no one came to the door right away. The affidavit says Smith seemed to be looking for his girlfriend, who was still in the bedroom with the kids…
