LOOKOUT MOUNTAIN, Ga. — Rock City is facing backlash from some Walker County residents over their request to rezone property they already own.
Zoning documents from the Walker County Planning Commission, scheduled for review Thursday, lists a potential Rock City expansion as a “relative gain to the public.”
The property is currently zoned residential. Rock City is asking for it to be rezoned commercial.
At the same time, the Lookout Mountain, Georgia City Council is set to take up an ordinance Tuesday night related to the same piece of property. The agenda lists it as request for an amendment to a zoning ordinance…
