A cold front is expected to cross the TN Valley tomorrow evening and supply us with the chance of rain, a wintry mix, and bitter cold temperatures.
Scattered showers could begin as soon as mid morning Wednesday before eventually transitioning over to a wintry mix late afternoon/evening. This could result in slick spots during the evening commute. Winds will be the strongest at this time with gusts between 25-35 mph.
The plateau and higher elevations will be first to see this transition, before some flakes make it into valley locations late evening. Light accumulations will be possible along the plateau and in higher elevations (generally under 1″). Trace amounts to no accumulation is expected for valley locations…
