Walker County residents are urged to prepare for a stretch of cold weather expected this week, as overnight temperatures are forecast to dip below freezing across the area.
The colder conditions could create challenges for homes, pets, and outdoor plants if precautions are not taken. Weather forecasters recommend residents bring pets indoors or ensure they have adequate shelter, cover or move sensitive plants, and protect exposed outdoor water lines.
