CHATTANOOGA, Tenn — A second judge has recused himself from the case involving former Chattanooga Police Chief Celeste Murphy.
Court documents show Twelfth Judicial District Court Judge Justin C. Angel recused himself from the case. According to the documents, Judge Angel’s wife is an Assistant District Attorney with the Hamilton County DA’s office as of January 2026.
