We continue to monitor the chance for a wintry mix moving in during the day Saturday and continuing into Saturday Night before a transition to mainly a cold rain on Sunday. The timing of when temperatures get above freezing will be critical to the duration of any ice accumulation.
Precipitation could begin as a wintry mix of sleet/freezing rain and even some light snow mixed in early Saturday Morning and into the Afternoon. These early rounds look light as the bulk of heavy moisture could move in late day Saturday and especially Saturday Night and through Sunday. Temperatures on Saturday area wide could stay at or below freezing through the day. A few valley areas “might” be able to get above freezing late day but that is wait and see for now…
